The M12 was built around a slightly modified M6B chassis. It had knock off wheels, axles, and uprights and a wider body that was more like an M8.

This chassis was sold to Oscar Koveleski's to replace the chassis for M6B 50-17 after it burnt. (see M6B list)
M12 60-03
60-03 was raced in the 1969 Can Am by Lothar Motschenbacher. He purchased the car after the Mosport crash in the M8B.

George Eaton ran this car in the 1969 Can Am. In 1970 It was raced by in the Can Am by Graham Lawerance. The car was crashed at Edmondon in 1972. The wreck bought by Michael Barbour who rebuilt it and raced in some local races around Vancouver by 1975-1976. Car was later rebuilt as Coupe. It is currently finished as a hillclimb car and run in the UK.

Jim Hall ran this car with Surtees driving while their new car was being developed. They were quite successful with the car. Surtees liked the M12 better than the new Chapparal. The car was driven by Hobbs and Don Divine while owned by Godsell. Paul Canary put a coupe body on it and tried to race it at Le Mans and Spa. He was unable to qualify.

Raced by Dick Smith in Can-Am 1970. It was wrecked and severly burnt by Smith. It was purchased by by Wes McNay and rebuilt by an Indy car fabricator with new suspension and a turbo engine.
