The M6B was a close copy of Denny's M6A. It was designed for small block Chevrolet power but a few Ford and big block Chevrolet engines were used. None of these cars ever won a Can Am race but they did quite well in the series.
M6B 50-01
50-01 was built after the original run of M6B's. It was probably built for Bob Jane who raced it in Australia. He installed a Repco engine. Jane still owns the car.
M6B 50-03
50-03 was purchased by Lothar Motschenbacher. He raced it in the USSRC and then Can Am before converting it to an M12. He ran a small block Ford and then a big block Chevrolet. It was shipped to Japan. According to John Collins, when hauling it to the airport, it rolled off the trailer. Luckily it came to a stop without hitting anything.

50-04 was purchased by the Solana family in Mexico. Moises Solana ran the car in the USRRC. He was killed while driving in a hill climb in Mexico. It burnt for over an hour with him in it. The remains were buried with nothing left of the car. Several people claim to have purchased rights to the car from the Solana family.
M6B 50-05
50-05 was purchased by Bobby Aylward. He won the SCCA Championship in 1968. He hit a tree in a race in Oklahoma severely damaging himself and the car. Aylward was murdered and the remains of the car was sold given to his mechanic McCoy. These parts were purchased by Leonard Janke in 1988. Janke partnered with Craig Pence and restored the car. The car was sold to Lilo Beuzieron in 2007. He vintage raced it for a few years and sold it as the Aylward 50-05 but provided no paperwork. Beuzieron then built a very inaccurace M6 and sold it to someone in Australia with the paperwork.

He built a car using a spare tub that came with the Brown parts. He ran the Can Am with Tom Dutton Driving. After a crash the car was rebuilt with a M12 tub purchased from Holman-Moody.

He sold the remains with S/N tag, minus severely damaged tub, to Doug Rowe. Years later he sold the damaged tub to Anthony Taylor. Taylor purchased the parts and S/N tag 2014. Little of the chassis was useable.

The car was purchased by Hollywood Sports Cars and raced by Jerry Titus in Can-Am 1968. It was wrecked by team mechanic Doane Spencer while filming a commercial after Can-Am season and before Fuji group 7 race. The tub was replaced but with a new M6B tub while the original tub was destroyed and thrown away. The car was sold to Hills after the Fuji race. While testing Hills went off the track and he thought he might have bent the tub so his mechanic, Doane Spencer, replaced it with a M12 tub. The second tub, the one Hills thought was bent, was sold to Keith Germane who built it to a new car.

The tub that Hill's sold to Germane was given to Godsell-Vandergriff by Bruce McLaren. McLaren told the FIA that Vandergriff had seen the 25 Coupes the team had built thinking they could never find Vandergriff. For his trouble McLaren gave him the tub. Germane rebuilt the car with an M12 body after acquiring the necessary parts. Later he added square sides and an M8B body he bought from Motschenbacher. (See M6GT) Leonard Janke raced the car in SCCA and two Can Am races in 1974.

Shelby purchased two cars for the 1968 Can Am. Revson drove for Shelby and had some success. Shelby raced both their M6Bs 50/11 and 50/12. The S/N tags were switched from car to car depending on the race. This car was sold to Holman Moody. They modified the car calling it the 429'er. It had an injected 494 big block Ford. It was driven by Andretti who said it accelerated so hard he could not reach the shifter.

This is the second Shelby car. It was sold to Stan Sarkowitz who added an M12 body and a big block Chevrolet. He ran a few Can Am races. It was severely burnt in the fire at Motschenbacher's and a large beam also fell across the car. He traded the car to Bob Barton who had Collins restoring it as partners. Very little of the car was usable.

Jo Bonnier bought the car and ran few races in Europe before racing the Can Am. He ran the full 1968 season before selling it to Bill Young. Bill Young ran the 1969 Can Am with several drivers including John Cordts and David Hobbs. It was then bought by the Kahlicks. They ran the Can Am for a few races still with the big block Ford. They hired Bob Riley to update the car with an M12 body, big block Chevy, and other modifications. Frank flipped the car at Mosport. The car was sold to Janke along with 50-14.

50-17 built by Team McLaren for Koveleski, probably using Trojan parts. It was raced by Koveleski in the 1969 Can Am. It was then sold to Cliff Apel who also ran a few Can Am races. Car burnt and was rebuilt with a new tub while owned by Koveleski. He sold the car to David Franklin in 1981. He ran the car for years in Europe. (Bob Barton owns the first fire damaged tub.)
